New to competitions? Rookie Mix & Match is the perfect place to start! This division is designed for newer competitors who want to experience the excitement of competing in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
Leaders and followers are randomly paired with different partners. You'll dance to several songs with varying tempos and styles, showing your ability to connect, adapt, and enjoy the music.
You don't need a regular dance partner or a prepared routine. Just bring your love for swing dancing, be yourself, and enjoy the experience!
Recommended For: Newer competitors or dancers entering their first competitions.

Open Mix & Match is all about the joy and creativity of social dancing. Dancers are randomly paired with different partners and challenged to bring their best dancing to a variety of musical styles and tempos.
It's your chance to show your musicality, partner connection, improvisation, and personal style. Each dance brings a new partner, a new song, and a new opportunity to create something special together.
No choreography or fixed partner is needed. Just step onto the floor and let the music lead the way!

Get ready for exciting musical moments and inspiring social dancing! All Star Mix & Match brings experienced competitors together for a celebration of connection, improvisation, and musical expression.
Leaders and followers are randomly paired and dance to different songs and tempos. With every new partner, dancers have the opportunity to showcase their adaptability, creativity, and individual style.
Expect exciting rhythms, unexpected musical moments, and dancers who know how to make every song their own.
Recommended For: Experienced competitors ready for an advanced-level challenge.

Mix & Match Competition Format
The following format applies to Rookie, Open, and All Star Mix & Match.
PRELIMINARY ROUNDS
Competitors will be evaluated individually during the preliminary rounds, regardless of their assigned partners.
FINAL ROUNDS
Finalists will be randomly paired again. In the finals, dancers will be judged together as a couple.
SPOTLIGHT FORMAT
Finals will take place in Spotlight Format, with Live Band music.
